Reign"s Shrimp Tacos Logo

This was a project that I can say was a wonderful gift to do. I'm not one to eat shrimp, but I have to say their Asada tacos are so good. A straight forward design for everyone to understand.

Vampirella

Currently I'm looking to get a gig doing covers, so I though I would play or draw one of my favorite characters. It is a great way to get my drawing skills up to par and see where I need to improve my digital skills. Let the practicing begin.... more soon

Vampiress Carmilla

Not too long ago, I came across a new comic magazine.  this all black and white find is quite refreshing and a trip down memory lane when Vampirella was around in print. Interestingly enough this particular comic magazine is very similar to the old Warren books, so much so I noticed that the print company is called Warrent and their main character looks so much like Vampi herself. I do like reading it so I decided to do a drawing of the the lady Camilla. Not sure how long this run will be, but at the moment I'm enjoying the ride.

Roll the Bones Shirt Design

Here is a small tribute if you will to the first roll playing game I've ever participated in. However since it's nameless in appearance it can be used for just about any game that has dragons. Guess this all coincides with me getting back to my original objective of doing more sword and sorcery images not to mention it looks pretty good as a shirt. I do look upon it and wonder if I should have colored the gateway to make it more complete?. Who knows it just might happen.

The Bounty

For a long time now I've been doing a lot of heroes, comics, cartoon characters and various many things. Deep down I wanted to get back to where it all started for me doing medieval / sword & sorcery type of art. This pencil illustration is the after math of the battles that happen of the the bounty that is found or looted. Sometimes is a no win situation when looking for that one particular item that's can change your life.

Shirt Design Critical Hit

As you might know along with my "Chaos Streetwear" line I have a sub line called "RED", it's pretty straight forward all designs are on black shirts with grey, white and a touch of Red. Funny how I designed this during a strange time. WTC, is in deep with their patrons due to some not so kind decisions.  I don't know if this means it will sell or only time will tell. Find it here

TCS Mascot

round the beginning of the year I met up with the founder and principal of Time Community Schools. It was the first time I stepped foot in a enclosed school before,  I got to pick his mind on what he was looking for and what it meant to him for it to represent. As we got close to finalizing the design, he asked me to attend a class room of kids to get their input so they too can say the mascot also represents them. I have to admit it was something i wasn't use to, however they are the client and I'll do what it takes to make them happy. After that we created a shirt / hoodie for the kids to show their school spirit and that was fun to say the least.

Dragon Warrior

As stated in my privous blog, I'm searching within myself to find that energy / passion I believe need rekindling. Like most artist I look to the net for models to be inspired by, I came across a young semi goth lady (@barbra_horacek ) she has a sense of hidden power and bit by bit everything came about.  I'm loving this venture not only because of the subject matter , but to lay it all out using textures and looking up weapons that I could include and even have some story behind it all.

Band Maid Concert Shirt

Before the new year I had the opportunity to see these talented Ladies live. Along with my daughter and God daughter we planned an excited evening, I wanted to make it extra special so I came up with an idea to design my first concert shirt, It took some time and was a combination of hand drawn and digital touches, but I got it done and the response to my shirt was wonderful, for once I was very pleased with myself and with what I created. My only disappointment was not being able to see them in a meet and greet so I could see their expressions. Well maybe one day I will get the chance , who knows.

New Look

As of the beginning of the new year I decided to make a change, not only in how or what I do, but in the look that best represents me. "Max" is still with me, he just has a more shall we say grown up look to him. I felt that people / business did take me seriously with a cartoon icon and it seemed like a good time to also represent my heritage something I've been feeling strong about.  Thank you for supporting NWS and I will always shoot for the stars to get you what you need.

RED DRESS

An Australian model caught my attention. This full figured lady has been captured as sweet, sexy, exotic and most of all classy.  Based on what I have seen, Stefania has a wonderful heart and it shows. The pictorial of her in the red dress became my muse.  I usually prefer ladies in a black dress, but I wanted to capture the classiness and wanted to do it in a Art Nouveau style. The combination of its simplicity and incredible detail gives it a glamorous, yet soft touch feel. The design of the elements can be difficult at times, the hard part is making the the subject have that soft appearance. I hope you enjoy Red Dress.

Band Maid - Pop design

Recently I found out about this group and I have to say I enjoy the ROCK. Most people know of k-pop, now listen to J- ROCK, Their gimmick is cute and shows the strive of the working woman and how good they can be in their craft. I wanted to do an illustration of them, but wanted to do something a bit different, so I designed them as Funko Pops. Apparently others thought it's a Great idea and some of us are asking Funko to make them. If they do , only time will tell. Til then "Nite Gives Birth to Imagination"

Dying Man's Last Kiss

Via email, my son's classmate reached out to me to create a tattoo for him. We went back in forth via email. I asked him the what's, how's & who's concerning the tat. The first  was the idea of just a man whom a woman is kissing before he dies, I proposed the idea of Day of the Dead and he suggested about a warrior.. he like my concept of the dying Aztec warrior and  ( La Murete stealing the life from the man ), thus A Dying Man's Last Kiss

The second illustration is the concept of Man Caught Between Heaven & Hell. I had moments when I questioned myself where I stood in this picture. I have to admit it did put a strain on me spiritually and emotionally.

"SHEENA" Cover Art

I would like to get back into comics, but these days it's harder then before, it's not so much the companies , but the fans themselves ..they have a stronger voice especially here on the web. Now I have to get the fans to know who I am and what I can do with the characters that are so dear to them, so with blank covers I may have a fighting chance. "Sheena" is one of the those pieces,  coming soon to a cover to you. Til then "Nite Give Birth to Imagination"

Angel of Rock

This is embodiment of Rock Music, this Rock Angel is designed, so you can feel the radiance of his guitar as you see him through the mist. The rhythm of the night is to be heard amongst the cry of the wolves and backed by the chanting of rising corpses. Using various bits and pieces from actual heavy rock musicians I put together this icon, "The Angel of Rock" released by Chaos Streetwear, is for those who like Metal, Classic Rock, Alternative or any other form of rock. My mission is to wow the person who wears it as well as to make it an image of discussion with others.

Looking to the masters like Frazetta and Boris to name a few. To quote a phrase Rock isn't dead, it's the sign of the times.

Voyage into Space

Well if you're a person like me who grew up on monster movies, anime & comics chances you heard of Johnny Sokko And His Giant Robot. The whole good versus evil resonates from this show. Using the uniform of the Unicorn agents, the colors and shapes these became the background for the piece, also I needed Giant Robot to be the main focus. The supporting characters are Johnny Sokko "U7" & his partner Jerry "U3", the base of the piece is the ending scene, the final battle between, Giant Robot and Guillottine.  Enjoy this color pencil and acrylic piece. Van Helsings Last Breath

Being a avid reader of the old Warren Vampirella Comics Magazines, I was taken by not only the stories but the art of Jose Gonzalez, who's technique with a pen is unmatched til this day.

I'm excited about this particular piece, it's gone through a few alterations and one prior attempt along the way, now redrawn to this final image (posted here), done with mixed media, acrylics and Prismacolor Premier color pencils. N0w I'm ready to take on another Vampirella piece.

"WIZARDS"

"Wizards" a post-apocalyptic fantasy detailing the battle between two brothers : Avatar - a man of magic who has to battle his brother Blackwolf - obsessed with technology.

If you love this movie I hope you'll enjoy this piece.  I made this to look like an old movie poster from the 70's where most posters were illustrations.

Featured all of the main cast : Avatar, Weehawk, Elinore & Peace and looming over them is Blackwolf. This was done in acrylic and Prismacolor color pencils. I hope it inspires you to see the 1977 film by Ralph Bakshi's "WIZARDS".

21 JacK

Back in July 2020, I received an request about creating a shirt for a person's son's 21's Birthday. I have to admit this project took me out of my comfort zone, especially since the person's son is into a table top game called Deadlands. Being a comic artist and a gamer of both digital and table games I was excited to create something that would be memorable for that person and their family. This piece is done by hand & Adobe Illustrator as well as Photoshop. I can say we all are very pleased with the final product, I even mailed the original artwork to the young man so he could show his friends and family where the shirt art came from. I know this is a rare situation, but I hope I have more like it. Til then "Nite Gives Birth to Imagination"

Ultraman

Ultraman - a character that was part of the original Kaiju movement back in 1966. This silver and red hero came from the stars to help humanity defend against the monsters that came to earth or risen from unknown depths.

I chose various monsters that he first encounters. Created with Prismacolor color pencils with a touch of acrylic to bring it all together. This piece is 16 x 20" in size.

HALLOWEEN DESIGN

For those of you who know me pretty well, you're aware of the fact that Halloween is my favorite holiday. The idea of having Halloween be part of your everyday is something that is quite fun, now I know your probably saying "that's crazy", but it's true. Some of us do it with out knowing it, your individuals who love a great horror movie, or a person who has that favorite metal band and the stories they tell, all the way to the imagery we wear on our shirts. The symbolism of Halloween is with us whether you believe it or not.
